Preparation of equipment for the production of foundry molds using traditional CNC machine tools is a series of complex activities - including designing the machining process, preparation of machine and tooling equipment. It is time consuming and requires a lot of employee involvement, and often the resulting model must be subject to further treatments.
The 3D printing technology allows to significantly reduce the costs and time spent on the project - while maintaining the precision of the final form. 3D printing also excludes imperfections resulting from improper filling of the form with material. This flexibility of operation, as well as shortening the process time.
Thanks to models made on a 3D printer, we obtain the ability to produce personalized elements or short series. Lost casting results in a faithful metal copy of the printed item.
