PC is a material characterized by high strength, rigidity and resistance to high temperatures (HDT 143°C). It has a UL V2 flammability rating, which allows it to be used, for example, in the electrical and electronics industries. Due to its lightness and strength, it is used in the manufacture of components such as helmets and off-road vehicle body parts. In addition, it is characterized by increased resistance to UV radiation.
From CAD to Full Scale: Engineering the Silence Chair with Industrial 3D Printing
Omni3D and FUSS sp. z o.o. used large-format ABS 3D printing to manufacture a full-scale structural component for the Silence Chair. This technical case study examines the slicing strategy, thermal management, warpage prevention, post-processing, and €662.85 production cost of the 69-hour build.
