3D printing in design – Lampshades

Omni3D technologists faced the challenge of 3D printing lamp baskets of various sizes and shapes for the client from design industry.

CASE-STUDY

The lampshades must be durable and resistant to the temperature of light bulbs. PET-G-32 material was selected for the project. It is an industrial material designed to work in extreme conditions, characterized by high printing accuracy.

Solution and Effect

Due to unusual shapes and sizes, long waiting times for traditional production and cost – 3D printing turned out to be the best solution. It is an ideal alternative to the production of this type of project. Most importantly, the technology used shortened the order processing time to 1 day and significantly lowered production costs! Lamp shades were printed on our Factory 2.0 NET industrial printer, which has a working area of 500 x 500 x 570 mm.
